Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Licenses: A valid Code 14 driver’s license with a valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience driving heavy-duty vehicles.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in operating heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections.
• Familiarity with road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to handle long-distance trips and navigate challenging road conditions.
• Other Requirements:
• Medically fit to operate heavy-duty vehicles.
• Clean criminal record.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Code 14 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

1. Vehicle Operation: Safely operating heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
2. Pre-Trip Inspections: Conducting thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
3. Documentation: Completing and submitting all required documentation, including delivery notes and trip reports.
4. Customer Service: Interacting professionally with clients and ensuring customer satisfaction.
5. Compliance: Adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
6. Vehicle Maintenance: Reporting any vehicle defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
