Position Summary

Heineken Beverages, a global leader in the beverage industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Vat Rotator/Driver to join our team at the Worcester Distillery. If you are passionate about working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Vat Rotator/Driver, you will play a critical role in the safe transportation, handling, and processing of brandy barrels, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts, loading and unloading barrels, and maintaining cellar hygiene. Key Performance Areas

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Barrel Handling: Safely transporting, loading, and unloading brandy barrels.
2. Forklift Operation: Operating forklifts to move barrels and other materials as required.
3. Barrel Processing: Physically filling and emptying brandy barrels to/from maturation.
4. Tank Transfers: Transferring and taking up tanks as part of the production process.
5. Recon Assistance: Assisting with daily and weekly recon tasks when needed.
6. Sample Preparation: Preparing samples for testing, organoleptic assessment, and classification.
7. Stock Management: Assisting in the monthly bulk stock take process.
8. Compliance: Ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with company procedures and work instructions.
9. Safety Standards: Adhering to OHS Act standards and maintaining a safe working environment.
10. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all activities and processes.
11. Cellar Hygiene: Ensuring high standards of cellar hygiene are maintained.
12. Loss Control: Applying strict loss control measures to minimize waste.
13. Team Participation: Actively participating in TPM Level 1 team activities and problem-solving initiatives.

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Education: A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Licenses:
• A valid Forklift License.
• A valid Code 10 Driver’s License.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role.
• Attributes:
• Willingness to work extended hours (overtime) when required.
• Punctuality and reliability in attendance.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
